Shadows fill the corners of the dimly lit workshop. The walls, once a pale shade of cream, are speckled with various colors from the leatherworker's dyes, while the relatively dust-free state of the floor seems due more to the presence of several cats wandering about than any use of a broom. Piles of leather and oddly-shaped wooden forms are stacked on shelves along the back wall, while near the window the cordwainer sits on a stool, hunched over his current project. You also see a dye-stained maple workbench with a gold-embossed kidskin catalog on it and Cordwainer Bayanzi.
